In between Chapter II and III

Pitch experience around naming and specific terms

After the Trendslab, and after pitching our idea to several other people we had noticed that when referring to "extreme sports" people would directly think about the dangers and risks of doing these kinds of sports. We felt a little misunderstood, and don't want to have a constant negative impression that these sports are very dangerous to practice. That is why we from now on want to refer to actions sports, as we believe this will give the customers a better (and more positive) understanding of what the sports are really about. Alternatives would we adventure sports and outdoor sports (too broad, could be literally any kind of sport).

First moods for appearance of app/brand identity

Our brand identity will be black and white, and very clean and simple. Each sport will have a certain colour palette in which the main identity will be coloured into. Thus to create a coherent, yet distinct appearance for each action sport.  Below are some first moods and inspiration for the appearance of our app and the brand identity which we have collected.

An example of how the theme may vary within in the app. (for reference only)

Workshop on 'Business Plan' 23/11.

This was, in my opinion, one of the better workshops I had so far during class. We were divided into groups were the partners of each project first were mixed on purpose. Every group thinks about a schematic map out of the business model. Because of the mixed groups, a lot of interesting questions arose. After class, we kept on working on this scheme of the business model and ran over the other examples. Underneath you can see the result.

Class on 'Value Proposition' 30/11.

In this class we did several exercises around the value our product has for our target audience and which needs and wishes we fulfil. Another exercise was to make a one-sentence description of the product we develop. It made us rethink our current one and made us adjust it to the following;

QUIVER "Engages like-minded people nearby to break down barriers around practicing action sports."
